Since we don't want to bombard you with emails, we have packed a lot of news into this! Please read on...

++ RANDY MAMOLA RIDES ++

We have obtained a few rides with Randy Mamola at the Donington MotoGP 20-22 June 2008. This is a 2 lap ride as pillion with Randy Mamola on his Ducati Desmosedici two seater 2007 GP bike at near-race lap times around the Donington circuit. This is the ride of a lifetime. You will also get 2 full paddock passes for the day of your ride, coaching by Randy, full gear, photos. Passengers must undergo a full medical prior to their ride and must not exceed 90 kilos.

You will be accompanied by Pole Position staff (except on the bike! :-) with a private tour of the paddock and a pit or two onthe day of your ride; and receive unique commemorative autographed merchandise of your day.

These rides are in benefit of Riders for Health.

This is an exclusive opportunity to get one of these normally available only on auction or to corporate sponsors. Needless to say we only have a few rides; priority will go to customers booking a Donington package (min 2 nights) with us. We have a very special deluxe package in the luxurious 5* Priest House Hotel, 10 minutes from the track, which is where most VIPs will be staying. More package details on http://www.polepositiontravel.com/donington/2008/packages.htm

++ RED BULL ROOKIES CUP : SPONSORING TOMORROW'S CHAMPION ++

We have been appointed Travel Partner for the Red Bull Rookies Cup. This also has given us a unique insight into some of the individual rookies (all frighteningly talented!) and can help anyone who is interested in getting involved in this programme to meet and get to know the Rookies. We are working to help raise awareness and sponsorship for the kids.

We are proud to be sponsoring Scotsman Deane Brown and Nigerian Alessio Capella.

Here is our previous note on the sponsorship opportunities:

Sponsoring Tomorrow's Champion

      We are proud to be working as travel partner for the Red Bull MotoGP
      Rookies Cup. The MotoGP Rookies Cup is a new tournament - launched in
      2007 - designed to attract and nurture young motorcycling talent
      worldwide. The 13-16 year olds are chosen not just for riding skills,
      but personality, team spirit, ambition and more; in short to have the
      "right stuff" to be a potential future champion.
      Red Bull has done the hard work in selecting from thousands of
      applicants over the past two years a field of just 23 riders. One
      criterion that is manifestly NOT part of the selection process is
      wealth. Parents, friends and family of the Rookies have made
      tremendous sacrifices to get their protog to where they are today.
      While Red Bull and partner KTM very generously provide the machinery,
      leathers, mechanics and race infrastructure; the main expense facing
      the Rookies and their families is the travel. The race season is 8
      events (all at MotoGP weekends), with an additional 3 test events;
      and if the Rookie is successful, a further two special "Riders Cup"
      invitationals in Valencia and Indianapolis (also at the MotoGP)
      beckon. A European Rookie will spend about 10,000 EUR for the tests
      and race; travelling with himself and a guardian. Of course the
      rookies from USA, Australia, Japan, South Africa and other far-flung
      locations face even more daunting expenses.
      Rookies may have up to two personal sponsors, with the ability to
      place logo or name on helmet and/or leathers. In addition of course
      you will get the opportunity to join them in the Rookie paddock at
      any meet; come to the closing party at Brno, and other benefits as
      negotiated between you and the Rookie.
      Sponsoring a Rookie is a superb (and relative to GP team or rider
      sponsorship very cost effective) step into the "inside" world of GP
      racing. It is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a
      promising new career and give a little back to the sport that we all
      love. Pole Position Travel will be happy to give you informal advice
      as to what to expect and put you in touch with any Rookie of
      interest. We will also be pleased to extend our discounted Rookies
      Travel Programme to any Rookies Cup sponsor, as well as help in any
      way we can to maximise your experience of the racing!

++ CLUBGP : Insider access ++

Fancy getting 'backstage' at a motogp with full paddock access and get inside the pits (not even available to VIP Village)?

This year we have sponsored a few teams and riders, and we are delighted to be able to pass some of the benefits of sponsorship to you. Joining our exclusive ClubGP gets you discounts on any packages you purchase with us, as well as top attention when you need last minute VIP or other services at a MotoGP. But most of all, you can be the guest of one of our teams for a day or a weekend. This means you get full paddock access, you will be taken on a tour of the pit, meet riders, and get cool autographed merchandise.

Needless to say, space for this at each event is very limited (Mugello and Donington are no longer available). We are accepting applications now on an exclusive basis to our VIP clients prior to the formal programme launch. Exact price has not been set but will be very close to: Silver (one day team visit, Friday or Saturday): 750 Gold (Sunday visit) : 1000
Platinum (all weekend): 1700

Our sponsored teams and riders (to whom the vast majority of this goes) are: * Italian privateer team Matteoni, in 250cc and 125cc; a fascinating look at how a privately funded and supported team competes in GP * Spanish team Polaris World; a factory Aprilia with two of the most promising riders in GP, 250cc future world champion Matthia Pasinin (I am not biased :-) and rising British star Bradley Smith * British 125cc rider Danny Webb in Dutch team de Graaf. Already showing incredible improvement and another one to watch.

As far as we know, this is unavailable elsewhere in motogp.

++ BRITISH SUPERBIKE HOSPITALITY ++

As you know, we work exclusively in MotoGP; however through some of our promotion work with the folk at BikeAnimal.co.uk we have been given some exclusive places at their hospitality at the BSB rounds. The packages are such great value, we thought we'd pass the opportunity to you.

  • VIP hospitality on race day
  • Race day: welcome on arrival
    • info pack with rider news/circuit details/etc...

++ MUGELLO 2008 ++

If you are looking for the top motogp VIP experience of the year, make it to Mugello. We have a very exclusive private pit roof VIP suite with private paddock tours and pit visits; and a 'Royal' package in the stunning 15th century Palazzo in Florence with helicopter transfers on Sunday.

VIP Village is unavailable in Mugello

++ LAGUNA SECA AND INDIANAPOLIS ++

We have private VIP Village suites in both these events; and in Monterey we are pleased to offer the new 5 Clement Intercontinental right on Cannery Row; in Indy we have the 5 Conrad; both of which we expect a number of top teams and riders as well as of course our top customers.

As a very special VIP feature, in Indianapolis we have organised police escorts for our VIP coaches to cut through the notorious traffic!

We also will be featuring star speakers at our opening parties; last year at Laguna we had Steve Parrish, Greg White (SPEED channel) and Chris Jonnum (editor of RoadRacer X and Hayden biographer). And those of you who were at our exclusive Cannery Row 'beach party' last year will be delighted to know we are repeating it.

For USA customers, we are now quoting and accepting USD payments. Helps beat those 'dollar blues'...

++ OTHER GPs ++

Too much to tell really... Private VIP Suites in Catalunya, Brno, San Marino, Phillip Island Full VIP of course available for all events; along with top accommodation and services. Helipcopter transfers now available at most races. See our season preview on: http://docs.polepositiontravel.com/vip2008-summary.pdf

Hints
- If you want to meet riders and experience an incredible paddock, go to Shanghai - best value VIP is Brno - best paddock access in general and about best facilities is Sepang. May be the last year there. - Valencia VIP Village is sold out, but we are taking requests (we eventually managed to double our VIP size last year)

Booking for all products (apart from the exclusive offers noted above) on http://www.polepositionvip.com/

I was at all VIP Villages in 2007, and me and my team are more than happy to discuss your needs in detail and confidence.

Look forward to seeing you in 2008!

Sincerely
Gordon Howell
